WP1 - Project management
Objectives of the WP:
  • Handle strategic and everyday management of the project, including financial, non-technical and administrative coordination among all activities involved in the project
  • Implement and maintain seamless communication flow between the Consortium members, the AAL CMU and national funding organizations
  • Guarantee appropriate quality and timely delivery of reports, Deliverables and project outcomes in general in order to ensure the successful termination of the project as scheduled
  • Ensure that all user involvement activities fulfil highest ethical standards

WP2: Requirements analysis, evaluation and design
Objectives of the WP:
  • Collecting and analysing requirements as well as needs of caregivers
  • Specify use cases and scenarios
  • Identify functionalities and how they contribute to multiple benefits
  • Develop the concept for the user interface and interaction and guidelines for the implementation
  • Specify the trial protocols and procedures that will be followed during the evaluation of the system
  • Perform a range of lab trials in order to evaluate and further develop the system and services

WP3: Communication and support strategies
Objectives of the WP:
  • Elaborating the scientific background based on internationally accepted concepts for the optimal interaction with PwD for (i) the support strategies helping caregivers to learn the interaction with PwD and (ii) for the emotional support of the caregivers
  • Develop the final structure and content under consideration of the caregiver requirements and trials

WP4: Interaction Platform & Service Integration
Objectives of the WP:
  • Producing the prototype platform by integrating all the components developed in WP3 and WP4
  • Design an integrated system architecture using requirements (WP2) and by designing a unified data management and communication mechanism that enables seamless interaction amongst the services
  • Designing and specifying the overall system architecture regarding the specifications provided by WP2
  • Specifying and developing a robust security and privacy infrastructure
  • Design and specification of Android-based system architecture, including different hard- and soft-ware components
  • Development of an adaptive e-Learning backend platform that will: i) define software application tools and standards to be used for developing integrated prototypes; ii) develop the security and privacy infrastructure iii) customize and integrate the working prototypes and the components de-veloped in WP3 into a coherent system; iv) Technical testing and validation of the overall SUC-CESS system.

  • Plan and develop the trial concept
  • Build-up the trial environment and materials
  • Execute trials (one field trial with a qualitative focus, one field trial with a quantitative focus)

WP6: Dissemination and Exploitation
Objectives of the WP:
  • Ensure extensive dissemination and exploitation of project results targeting the public in general, political stakeholders, key market players and the scientific community
  • Preparing the ground for successful commercialization of the project outcome ensuring also coor-dinated contribution to relevant standardization forums
  • Developing a dissemination strategy and plan and activities for standardization
  • Developing an exploitation plan, business strategy and agreements towards the market introduc-tion
  • Development of a viable business model for exploitation
  • Definition of guidelines for the management of Intellectual Property Rights
  • Implementing a corporate design to prepare dissemination materials on consistent graphic layout
